OOPs there goes my xbee unit in smoke

I guess my radio controlled car as had it`s first real step back today I`ve killed one of my xbee units.

Don`t know why I killed it , not sure if I did a pin mix up in wiring or what, But after a very short time it stopped working and got very hot ( not normally a good sign ).

Oh well, just a little more money down the drain .

Started working on the transmitter, by using my old 27 mhz transmitter and stripping out all the wiring / circuit broad etc , and rewiring it knowing I only want the sticks from it.

Building a test program I`ve found I`m getting about 7-8 bits of resolution from it , which should be o.k to drive the seros.

Arduino Projects

Hi , Still just playing with a new toy, looking to see what it looks like .
Because like all things , it`s all trail and error , and with me a lot of error.

Then hopefully I will have to take some pictures of my project to show the world, plus the project I`m working on now, which is a radio controlled car .

Controlled by xbee and ardunio !!

This is my first long term project a super clock

  • It displays the temperature over a 24 hour period and display it as a bar graph on the LCD display.
  • It displays the time with alarms to control 8 devices.
  • It displays the time on the LED display and uses the LCD for menus.
  • it scans the I2C bus and displays any devices.
